I was born on the 3rd of March 1993 at 6.33pm in the Western General hospital in Edinburgh. I lived in Leith before moving to a small village called Longniddry, outside of Edinburgh, when I was 2. I’ve lived there ever since. Well, until moving to Dundee last year. My name is from Shetland, as is my mum.
Here’s a list of things I like:
Shopping, clothes and fashion, hence why I’m studying textiles. My favourite designers include: Elie Saab, Marchesa, Vivienne Westwood and Rodarte.
I don’t think I’d be a real art student if I didn’t say I like drawing and painting, which I do, most of the time.
Film and cinema. I couldn’t even name my favourite film, I have so many! I went to an outdoor screening of Donnie Darko in summer and it was so much fun.
Literature. I love reading: books, the paper, fashion magazines – mostly Marie Claire and Vogue – anything!
My family. We’re so close. I have two younger brothers and a mum and dad, obviously. At the moment I miss my dog the most which is strange.
My friends too. I’ve noticed who my real friends from home are since starting uni and I could count them all on my hand! Most of my best friends I’ve met in the last year.
Music. I’ve played the violin since I was seven which was highly ‘uncool’ so I stopped playing about 2 years ago. Now I want to pick it back up. I love going to concerts. Coming up is Dead Sea Souls in Dundee this Saturday, Muse next month, and the Black Keys in Amsterdam this December.
Travel. I will never live in Scotland. This country is far too depressing and I need sun. I’m going to South Africa for Christmas this year and I could not be more excited to escape my seasonal depression.
I’m actually starting to enjoy going to the gym, which is very weird.
Languages. Not that I can speak any, I just wish I could. One day I will speak Spanish or French, that’s my aim.
Going out, getting drunk and making a general fool of myself. Of course.
Talking and laughing and having fun in general. I just love laughing.
Eating. That is all.
So that’s a bit about me.
